The project provides a socio-economic baseline review of the marine sectors and coastal communities of the east marine plan areas to inform the next iteration of the East Marine Plan. The project describes the social and economic drivers for the east marine plan areas, analyses peoples perceptions of the marine environment and how they benefit from it. This evidence informs updates to the marine plans and MMOs approach to monitoring the effects and effectiveness of the plan and plan policies in achieving objectives of the plan area.
